Government jobs in Telangana 2023,Telangana State Police Women Safety Wing Clinical Psychologist (Bharosa) 2023 At Bharosa Centre operating in Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate. The Bharosa Clinical Psychologist works in shifts to provide 24 hours services at the Bharosa Support Centre-Hyderabad. She provides psychological counselling and guidance to the women and children who are victims of grave sexual offences.

They also provide need-based referral services to Shelters, Rehab Centres etc. Key roles included the following:

1. Drafting of client case history
2. Conducting Individual /Group Counselling involving the client and family members/ other stakeholders
3. Implementing appropriate therapies on a need basis.
4. Take absolute ownership across the client lifecycle and shall follow the prescribed code of ethics, guidelines, and protocols in providing counselling services.

Depending on the case load at the centre, the Psychologist will also take part in / anchor awareness activities in the community.

Experience•   Should have not less than 60 months of relevant experience in rendering psycho-social counseling to Women/Children.
•   Should have handled at least 75 relevant clients and not less than 150 counseling sessions.
•   Preference will be accorded to candidates with past experience of counseling victims of violence/Trauma Counseling
•   Candidates who are working in Social Sector I NGO in the field of Women and Child will be

The applicants should have the above-mentioned experience as part of her most recent or immediate past job role
Knowledge Areas•   The position is not applicable for School, College or Agency career counselors etc.
•   Should have working knowledge of important laws pertaining to Rape and POCSO Act 2012.
•   Knowledge of guidelines, rules and case laws in connection with the above will be a definite advantage.
Skill Sets•    Knowledge of imparting Psycho Social Counseling
•    Knowledge of imparting Trauma Counseling
•    Handson knowledge of Therapies
•    Clear understanding of various Counseling Techniques.
•    Should have Keyboard skills.
•    Documentation- Should be able to draft activity and incident reports in English.
•    Should be Technology Literate (Operating Computers, Printing, Xeroxing, Scanning, Recording,
basic photography and videography, web based research etc.)
•    Knowledge of working on computers is a must. All case related data has to be fed to
computerized formats, and hence, keyboard skills and functional knowledge of computers is mandatory.
•   Good in Interpersonal Communication
•   Ability to work in a Team
LanguagesShould be fluent in Telugu & English. Having working knowledge of Hindi is preferred in rural locations. For Greater Hyderabad, knowledge of Hindi is mandatory for some centres.
The Counsellor will be working out of the assigned Bharosa Centre in the District/Commissionerate.
Work LocationNote: In centres with only one Counsellor, the counselor will be asked to play the role of the center-coordinator as well. Towards this,an additional amount will be provided as hardship
Allowance to the tune of INR5000/-per month for the period for which such responsibility is being discharged by her.
Days of WorkCentre will be operational 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.The position is required work in shifts and to be available on a need basis on off days and public holidays based on client needs.
